Earlier this year, we journeyed out to the inner suburbs of north Melbourne and sat down with the owner of Concrete Jungle Trading, Adam. Originally from London, Adam spoke to us about his influences growing up and his passion for sneakers and streetwear. Having migrated 10 years ago with the mindset of one day opening his own store, it wasn’t until mid 2015 that he was ready to turn dreams into reality. Stocking a collection of vintage, fashionable accessories, and classic silhouettes, Concrete Jungle epitomises all that a neighbourhood sneaker store should be and more. Adam also recognises the importance of supporting local artists and labels, sporting likes of Kodjowild and Just F*ck Off Co. Be sure to peep the full recap of the store and interview above.
Are you yet to visit the store? We highly recommend it! Adam is a super friendly lad who’s always up for a great chat. If that’s not an option, make the most of the free shipping on orders over $150 online and follow them on Instagram for all the latest.
While the benefits of online shopping are obvious (trackies, wine, no one judging), there’s nothing better than visiting your local brick-and-mortar. Sneakerheads and lovers of streetwear, you need to drop into Concrete Jungle.

Concrete Jungle is your one-stop shop for all things sneakers and streetwear, with brands from Adidas to Vans. They specialise in footwear with heaps (and we mean HEAPS) of sneakers for both men and women, but they also have a pretty decent range of street apparel and accessories as well.
If you're in the market for some new kicks and can't find the exact style you want then definitely check these guys out. A quick peruse through their online shop and you'll find exactly what you were looking for (and probably a few extra pairs to leave in your cart - there's just that many shoes). Also make sure to keep an eye out for their pretty regular sales both in store and online!
Adam McManus’ sneaker collection was getting out of hand. So much so that in September 2015 he opened Concrete Jungle Trading. Shelves stocked with a thoughtfully curated mix of classic sneaker brands, short-run collaborations and hard-to-find styles, his dream of creating Brunswick’s “neighborhood destination for all things sneakers and street wear” became a reality.
